Filament Business Studio supported the founders with naming, positioning, brand development, presentation assets and specialist training, helping establish a professional identity that reflected both the purpose of the network and the people behind it.

The challenge
Launching a new professional network presents a unique challenge.
The Digital Housing Collective needed to establish credibility within a highly regulated sector while avoiding the overly corporate appearance often associated with housing organisations.
The founders wanted a brand that felt professional without becoming cold, collaborative without appearing informal and modern without chasing short-term trends.
Alongside the visual identity, there was also a need to clearly communicate the purpose of the network and create materials capable of supporting future workshops, presentations and member engagement.
Developing the brand foundations
The project began by defining the network’s purpose, values and positioning.
This process informed the development of the name, strapline and wider brand identity, ensuring each element worked together to communicate a clear and consistent message.
The final logo combines a geometric house form with interconnected nodes and connecting pathways. This visual approach represents both the housing sector and the collaborative nature of the network itself, reflecting the sharing of ideas, expertise and experience between members.
The wider identity was designed to feel approachable, professional and future-focused, creating a platform capable of growing alongside the community.
Supporting communication and engagement
A strong brand only creates value when it can be applied consistently.
To support the founders in presenting the network professionally, a suite of presentation templates was developed for use across workshops, events and member communications.
These templates provided a practical framework that ensured consistency while giving the team flexibility to create future content without relying on external support.
The result was a cohesive visual system that could support both day-to-day communications and larger strategic initiatives.
Delivering practical AI training
As the relationship developed, support expanded beyond branding into training and knowledge sharing.
Filament Business Studio designed and delivered a workshop focused on the practical application of Artificial Intelligence within housing communications.
The session explored how AI can support communication teams while addressing important considerations around ethics, governance, accuracy and risk management. Particular emphasis was placed on practical implementation, helping delegates move beyond theory and apply the concepts directly within their own roles.
Interactive exercises and a structured prompt framework enabled attendees to leave with tools and techniques they could begin using immediately.
